Workshop Overview

Tanzania Global Learning Agency (TaGLA) in collaboration with VINSYS (India) has organized a tailor-made workshop on “Leadership and Change Management Towards Retirement” that guides participants to lead effective change in management blended with skills in entrepreneurship towards retirement.

It intends to increase skills in business, leadership skills and entrepreneurship to the expected retirees. The key to achieving an active and satisfying retirement involves a great deal more than having adequate entrepreneurship skills.

It is never too late to save, and by choosing to save today, it can be done, even if your retirement is not far away.  Set realistic goals, consider all possible monetary resources, close your savings gap, play a smart game of catch-up, zero in on your retirement income, juggle your expenditures wisely, and calculate how much you’ll need for retirement, in order to prepare for a safe financial future, no matter how close or how far away it is. 

Workshop Objective:-

The key objective of the workshop is to enhance networking, multicultural awareness, exchange of best-practices and further cooperation among senior officers with focus on the issue of leadership, entrepreneurship and preparation towards retirement.

Workshop Outcomes:-

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to enhance existing skills, nurture and solidify entrepreneurial proficiency, financial and non-financial planning for retirement and managing wellbeing.

Tanzania Global Learning Agency has organized training on International Public Sector Accounting Standards, Financial Statements Fraud and Governance Workshop. For sometimes now, there has been increasing pressure for governments around the world to be more accountable for their public budgets with governments and to produce accurate, meaningful and transparent financial statements. International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) enable public entities to show clear accrual accounting and budgeting techniques and demonstrate results-based monitoring and reporting.

Workshop Objective: -

This workshop will provide the comprehensive understanding of applying IPSAS from the IASB’s IFRS standards to the framework of public bodies and enable participants to increase transparency. We will conduct discussions on how to overcome the challenges faced by other entities in implementing IPSAS. The workshop will also cover aspects on financial statement fraud detection and prevention as well as appreciating the role of risk management system in improving organisational management system.

 

Methodology and Duration of the Program

The duration of the program is 5 days. Training Methodology will be based on Power point presentations and plenary sessions.

Role play’s; Assessment exercises- pre and post sessions tests at the start and the end of each Module, to check the level of knowledge of participants on the topic before and after the training. Energizing exercises; Group discussions; Buzzing in pairs on a topic; Demonstrations and Case studies.
